Here we go again. Dan 4 and 1914

" in it, it points to daniel 4 as the prophecy and uses the same leaps of insane logic to get from the first and only fulfillment of that prophecy to 1914, using 607 as the starting point and 2,520 years as doubling the 1,260 years in revelation.

of course, there is no accounting for the difference in our solar years and the bible's lunar years, which makes the math have a very different outcome.

Yes, I ACTUALLY am sooooooooooo grateful for the posts & calculations, and explanations of AnnOMaly & Leolaia.

I just wanted to mathematically express how mentally frustrating it is to even try and rationalize/ excuse this type of calculating.

Am I wrong here? Please let me ask again....

I don't care if the Jews had 2 or 3 or 4 or any other type of other calendar for adjusting "times"... or if they knew about solar, lunar, whatchabugger... anything. And, if God wanted them to use 365 Gregorian calendar years, why did He make them calculate using 360 day "prophetic years?" Ahhhh!!!

When PEOPLE (the "Society") want to use ONE WAY ("prophetic" years of 360) to calculate "YEARS," then they should keep that "sacred, Bible given, instituted, holy spirit led” way of thinking up. I mean, they do want to "hold true" to the "sacred" writings, hmm?

607 was my breaking point. I thoroughly studied those two WT’s in 2011, and saw all the misquotes, no quotes, half quotes, and misleading statements. I did the calculations…

I saw them discount tablets and historians at the drop of a hat, then use them quicker than a wink of an eye if they needed them.

I read the small little footnote at the bottom of the page regarding the Egibi business tablets (that cover every single year of Babylonian rule during Nebuchadnezzar) that ‘When the years that these kings ruled, and are totaled, and a calculation is made back from th last Neo-Babylonian king, Nabonidus, the date reached for the destruction of Jerusalem is 587 B.C.E.” (WT Nov 1, 2011 pg. 24 In THE smallest font possible)

In the paragraph to the left, what does the WTBS use for “evidence”? Questions… Doubt…

“Why are there discrepancies? … Could others have ruled? If so, additional years would have to be added to the Neo Babylonian period. Therefore, neither the Babylonian chronicles nor the business tablets provide a basis to establish with certainty that Jerusalem was destroyed in 587 B.C.E.

THEREFORE? That “therefore” was built upon assumptions….

And don’t forget their “disclaimer” to the right… regarding those Egibi business tablets. Yep, those little business accounting tablets prove it was more like 586/ 587. But you have to read the fine print.

Great for a “legal corporation,” right?

Disassociation

hi all, i haven't posted here in quite some time.. just as an update, about two years ago, my wife and i moved to a big city about 500 miles away from the town in which we grew up.

we made this move in part to expedite the fading process, which was successful.

when we moved, as i described in an earlier post, we formally transferred from our home cong (where our families are) to a local cong in our new city, and then transferred twice more so as to get lost in the shuffle.

Watchtower is evil, and delights in breaking up families.

Give them no power, no respect, no nothing. They do not deserve it, you owe them nothing.

The best thing to do is live your happy life.... and keep your family...

Mathematically, if “X = 360 in the first part of an equation, then one must still use X as still equal yo 360 in the second part..

You cannot switch the value of X in the middle of an equation……

So…………

If 7 times X = 2,520 years, then 2,520 divided by 7 = 360 …

There is NO WAY you can start saying;

“Now that we know 7 x 360 = 2,520, let's divide 2,520 by 365 and find out where the 2,520 years end!"

Unless, of course, you are the Watchtower, then you can use any type of disfunctional math you want to.

My Experience in the Watchtower (Part Three)

it's been a long time but some may remember that i wrote part one of my life story a couple of years ago.

i followed that up with part two a few months later.

i have found that i have to be in a certain mindset to write about these things and only now have i been able to continue with the third part.

Wow! So sorry, I hope you are hanging in there?

Very interesting that the 1995 thing (reading that intro in the Awake about "the Creator's promise that we'll see God's kingdom before "the end of the century") was something that really struck my husband also. I was oblivious to it... didn't read the inside cover... but he would read this "promise" to people at the door, as if it WAS a "promise from God," after all... it WAS from the "faithful and discreet slave," right?

Thank you for sharing, I really think it helps others who (by reading, I have observed) have gone thru some of the same things, and feel as you do and did.

Reoccurring dream I have

.........although sometimes slight differences.. bear in mind i am in the uk and we don't go a bundle on therapy and i can't afford it anyway.. here is the dream manifest content as best i can recall.............. i am in a town or city.

i come across a shop which inside is more like an indoor market, sometimes a cavern.

it sells marvel comics.

Just my opinion... but I think we all want to do something that we couldn't do as a "witness."

Everyone gave something up.

Why not 'dream'? Go for it! Enjoy it! Be arty! Be S P I D Y!

That is what makes life fun, doing things we love!

Drawing, creating, expressing brings contentment... and doesn't cost much (if on a tight budget)

Go to the max in your creativity, and see if you dream changes!?!!!

i have bdd, it isn't just the meetings it's everything.

i don't want to go but i feel guilty of not going cause he said everyone is wondering where i am, but i dont want anyone to see my face... and tomorrow they said they'll call me to make sure im going but it's so tough.

also how do i cancel talks thx.. .
